A baluster-shaped bronze and multi-metal vase on pedestal base with two oval-shaped cartouches executed in high relief shakudo, shibuichi and copper. Brocading along the lip and foot depicts sprays of plum blossom and clam shells among stylized waves. On one side, a nocturnal scene of an owl perches on a leafy branch, a shakudo crescent moon in the background. On the other side, sparrows fly over mist-covered sakura trees. Jomi Eisuke incised signature seal on the base. The vase is in excellent condition with neither damage nor restoration.
