This is an elegant Satsuma vase of baluster form with two exquisite figural
surrounded by vertical banding showing open fans, gilt and enameled, among
in low relief. The first panel depicts an affluent family group lakeside on
a tea-house terrace.
In the second panel, a bijin plays with her child surrounded by
chrysanthemum, bamboo and
pine against a mountainous background. Beautifully gilt and enameled flowers
embrace the shoulder while richly designed lappets rise from the foot.
The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or
restoration. Signature on the base.
