| This small porcelain vase of baluster form is a miniature masterpiece showcasing the innovative techniques of the renowned ceramist, Makuzu Kozan. The ground is worked in a combination of partly carved T-fret design and soft mauve glaze applied along the neck and foot, while the main scene depicts morning glories in blue and lavender growing on a leafy branch.
