| A striking bronze and multi-metal vase of baluster form, its copper-patinated neck simulating wood grain. Framed by a band of carved scrollwork with silver and gold inlaid flowers, the central visual is inlaid with precious metals to create a charming scene. Two silver cranes, worked in high relief inlaid with shakudo, gold and color-patinated alloys, graze among tall bamboo, iris and butterflies. This vase is in excellent condition with no dents, loss or damage. Height: 14.2" Meiji Period, Japan | ||||||||||
