A set of three Imari porcelain plates, each distinctly shaped: a boat-form bowl, shallow square tray and irregularly shaped dish. All three highlight a shishi rondel with scrolling gilt surrounded by cartouches of bamboo, pine, peony and sakura on iron red grounds. This matching set is a rare grouping of Japanese Imari porcelain and would enhance any cabinet or can, of course, serve utilitarian purposes by enriching every table setting. These lovely pieces are in excellent condition, each piece signed on the base. Lengths- irregular dish: 8", boat-shaped bowl: 8", square tray: 7" Meiji Period, Japan
