A naturalistically carved and incised wood okimono of two Akita puppies at play, their fur, ears and features beautifully delineated.
The communication between the two is evidenced by their position, the one atop causing surprise in the wide eyes and open mouth of his playmate - the expressions and carving technique defining the charm of
the sculpture. The bottom of the piece is carved with great realism, in the same style as
the puppies, the wood graining and natural, warm wood tones adding to its overall beauty.
Yoshiaki incised signature on the base. Excellent condition with no problems or
restoration. Height: 5.5", length: 7.25"
