Here is a stunning cloisonné vase of tapered form on silver mounts executed in silver-sculpted wires of various thicknesses. The banded lip and foot of the vase are decorated with geometric designs, the marvelous collar with white kiku buds and lacy karakusa. Elegant flowers with leafy foliage cover the deep blue-enameled ground asymmetrically, small groves of kiku rising from below. Adding drama to this perfect cloisonne vase, a large, gold-wired butterfly perches precariously above a peony petal.
On the vase's base, a raised silver foliate-form cartouche reads the maker's mark, Yoshio. This collector's cloisonné vase is in mint condition.
