Antique Japanese Shibayama Desk Blotter. Beautiful Meiji period piece with fine inlay throughout. Top butterfly on handle is a replacement made up from fragments of mother of pearl. No other losses to jade and mother of pearl inlay. Good antique patina throughout. Age drying crack to wooden blotter base which of course is covered by blotting paper when in use.
