A VICTORIAN 14K GOLD (not marked but tested), ONYX, PEARL & ENAMEL MOURNING BROOCH. 1877. Engraved in script on the reverse: Mary Cockayne Died Septr.11th 1877. The back is fitted with a glass hair compartment (empty). The circular brooch is centered with an eight point star having a cluster of 9 NATURAL SEED PEARLS mounted on an ONYX BASE which, in turn, rests on a circle of 12 black and gold enamelled heart-shaped designs - all within a rope-twist border and small gold balls. A FINE VICTORIAN BRASS BUCKLE. Circa 1890s. The buckle features six crescent moon appliques each entwined with four leaf clovers - symbols of a honeymoon and good luck. The buckle measures 3 1/2 inches in width by 2 1/2 inches in height. In excellent condition.

A VICTORIAN BOG OAK AND FRENCH JET MOURNING BROOCH. Circa 1865. The brooch is formed of carved BOG OAK (a fossilised wood found in Ireland) and is accented with FIVE FRENCH JET FACETED BEADS. The slightly curved bog oak base features a design of OAK LEAVES and is topped by beads, possibly representing acorns, which graduate in size from approximately 5mm to 8mm. Hinged straight pin on the back with a C clasp. In very good condition.

A HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN SCENIC PLATE. Circa 1850. Identified on the back "Vale of Athol" (sic). The manufacturer and artist is unknown however there is a number "2757" painted in red on the back. Also, there is an impressed REGISTRY MARK on the back which is indistinct. The plate features a border with an EGG AND DART rim in heavy gilt. A fine VICTORIAN ENGLISH BONE SPANGLED LACE BOBBIN. Circa 1860. The bobbin has been hand carved and decorated in colors of red, green, orange and black. The spangle has six beads. The name "SAMUEL" has been worked in a pin-prick design. The bobbin measures 4 1/2 inches in length. In excellent condition.
