A FINE 14K GOLD, GARNET & DIAMOND SCARF OR TIE STICKPIN. C.1905. Not marked but tests 14k gold. Genuine garnet & diamond. The top features an openwork circular frame centered with a garnet surmounting a prong-set diamond. The top measures approximately 3/8" in diameter. The length of the pin is 2 1/2 inches. Minor surface scratches on garnet table only visible with a loupe otherwise in excellent condition. Weighs 1.40 grams.

The hinged straight pin on the back has a Tiffany style clasp. The stunning design features five rectangular faceted 7.00 x 3.60mm peridots alternating with four clusters of eight seed pearls set in two rows (total of 32 seed pearls). A remarkably fine 14K gold and diamond stickpin. Circa 1910. Stamped 14K and with an unknown designer's initials E F. The top of the pin is formed as a large and highly detailed lion's head. Two single cut diamonds measuring 1.50mm are set for the eyes and have a clarity of VS1, color G and 0.03ct.t.w. The lion's mouth is set in three prongs with one early modern round brilliant cut 2.30mm diamond with a clarity of Si1, color G and 0.05ct.
