A BALTIMORE & OHIO RAILROAD MENU FOR JUNE 10, 1939 COMMEMORATING THE ROYAL VISIT OF THEIR BRITANNIC MAJESTIES KING GEORGE VI & QUEEN ELIZABETH TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The menu has a lacquer coating and was probably at one time framed. The lower edge has been trimmed and the menu has unfortunately lost its printed B.&O. identification. A VICTORIAN 14K GOLD (not marked but tested), ONYX, PEARL & ENAMEL MOURNING BROOCH. 1877. Engraved in script on the reverse: Mary Cockayne Died Septr.11th 1877. The back is fitted with a glass hair compartment (empty). The circular brooch is centered with an eight point star having a cluster of 9 NATURAL SEED PEARLS mounted on an ONYX BASE which, in turn, rests on a circle of 12 black and gold enamelled heart-shaped designs - all within a rope-twist border and small gold balls. A BEAUTIFUL TRIFARI LAYERED CONSTRUCTION "PANSY" BROOCH SET WITH RHINESTONES. Circa late 1950s. The flower has been hand assembled from three separate pieces giving it a layered look. Each section has a fluted petal design and the center of the flower has sixteen prong-set rhinestones. SIGNED. Hinged straight pin on the back with a safety clasp. The brooch measures 2 inches by 1 3/4 inches. In excellent condition.
