| A fine lustre jug or creamer commemorating US Naval Hero COMMODORE WILLIAM BAINBRIDGE, 1774-1833. Backstamp: OLD CASTLE(logo)/MADE IN ENGLAND. A pink lustre creamer measuring 3 inches in height and 4 inches across at its widest point. The rim features a border of pink stars. A black and white portrait of Bainbridge (profile to the right) is in an oval on one side of the creamer and is lettered below "COMMODORE BAINBRIDGE". Commodore William Bainbridge had an illustrious career in the US Navy and was notable for his defeat of the HMS JAVA in the War of 1812 while he was in command of the USS Constitution.
