| A small blue and white dish "OLD NORTH CHURCH" (Boston). Staffordshire, Alfred Meakin Ltd. and imported for Rawding Distributing Co, Winchester, Mass., circa 1930s. (See enlargement 5 for the backstamp). The dish has a floral border and features a scene of the Old North Church, Boston. The church was built in 1723 and is famous for its connection to Paul Revere's "midnight ride" - two lanterns were placed in the church's steeple to warn that the British were coming "by sea". In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. It measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter. | ||||||||
