An attractive silver over goldtone metal and cloisonne ART DECO lady's powder compact. Circa 1920s. A circular compact with great engine-turned engraving on both sides. The lid features a central blue enamel design set with a cloisonne pink and green rose. The inside lid has a metal mirror in fine condition. Inside, a circular sliding disc covers the powder well. There is some surface damage to the floral design on the lid and the silver shows wear on the back (please see enlargements) but, overall, a very beautiful example of this period piece. The compact measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
