ANTIQUE 18K GOLD, PLATINUM & DIAMOND BAR BROOCH.

A FINE ANTIQUE 18K GOLD, PLATINUM and DIAMOND BAR BROOCH. Circa 1900. SIGNED with the designer's conjoined initials VB. Hinged straight pin with secure clasp. The 18K yellow gold back features a lovely engraved design on the sides. The platinum top is centrally bezel set with one OLD EUROPEAN CUT DIAMOND with an estimated weight of 0.33 carats. Clarity Si1, color E. On either side of the central diamond are 5 half ROSE CUT DIAMONDS for a total of TEN DIAMONDS. They measure from 1.20mm-1.60mm. Color D/E. Estimated weight for the ten is 0.25ct.t.w. TOTAL CARAT DIAMOND WEIGHT IS 0.58 carats. The brooch measure 2 1/2 inches in length. Gross weight 4/40 grams. Appraised at Bailey, Banks & Biddle in the year 2000 for $2650.00 (papers are available).
