| A RARE CECIL ALDIN CHRISTMAS POSTCARD "HEARTY GREETINGS". London, Ernest Nister/New York, E.P.Dutton & Co. Circa 1910. With ink greeting on the reverse but not posted. The card features a GILT EDGE (see enlargement 4). Captioned: Hearty Greetings" together with a printed quotation from "Poor Robin's Almanack". The full color scene by CECIL ALDIN (1870-1935) depicts two servants bringing Christmas fare to people seated at dinner. Two COCKER SPANIELS watch hungrily. Small stain at upper left and inked notation at lower right but overall a nice example of a rare card. | ||||||||
