| A BEAUTIFUL SILVER OVER COPPER PIERCED AND FOOTED BOWL WITH UNUSUAL CROWN DESIGN. Probably of French origin. 19th Century. Marked on the underside with indistinct marks (see enlargement 6). The bowl has a height of approximately 3 1/4 inches with a width of 7 inches. The pierced bowl features, in the center, an applied cast CROWN similar in design to the British Royal crown but with a fleur-de-lys motif which implies a French attribution (see enlargements 3 & 8).
