| 12 x 17 inches. Carton. France. A wonderful print mounted on a cardboard-like material which was displayed as what we today call a "point of purchase item"....this was used as a last minute effort in advertising to the public while at the cash register. One might be leaving the store and see a somewhat smaller image of a famous poster that they recognized from the kiosks on the Parisien streets. They would say "oh and yes, we certainly need not foget to buy that champagne!" Colorful and beautifully detailed, "Besserat" is charming in color and illustration. We personally have had fun matting and framing it for our own collection. These cartons are becoming all the rage. Jump on the bandwagon while the prices are still affordable! Great condition. | ||
