Handsome whistling vessel that stands on three tear-shaped legs, manioc tubers or perhaps sweet potatoes, bridge handle on top in the form of an extended monkey. Geometric markings decorate the vessel's legs. The cream colored terracotta item whistles through the spout. It is in excellent shape with minor restoration to the legs. Chorrera, Ecuador. 1000-500BC. Over 7" in height.

An extraordinarily double sided bronze effigy tumi. A typical tumi would normally have a single final atop. This is a very rare double sided male/female effigy. Fully clothed male with headdress on one side and a naked female with broad necklace on the other. Measures 8.76 cm. Very Fine to Choice Condition.

One side is embellished with meticulously placed stones for grating and the other side is incised with a pictograph of what looks like a coatimundi masked fisherman with spear. Fragmentary figure depicting a male wearing a tall, conical headdress having a central tassel and a broad segmented collar around his neck with dangle type ear ornaments.
