Antique copper ritual crown, worn during ceremonies by a Vajracarya (Master of the thunderbolt), a high Buddhist priest. The crown is decorated by eight gilt copper Buddhist symbols and gilt copper figures of the 5 Dhyani Buddhas: Vairochana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha and Amogaghasiddhi. This piece shows the origin of a dzi bead. The agate dzi bead is still connected with it's source rock. It shows a dragon with the pearl. This is done with the knowing eye of the carver. The length of the bead is 7 cm. The size of the rock formation is 11.5 x 7 cm. In excellent condition.
