Beautiful enamel on copper painted three-panel ruyi scepter. The top panel depicts the Taoist god of longevity Shou, holding the peach of immortality and his peach wood staff. Shou Xing is surrounded by clouds. The other panels and the other parts of the ruyi (also the backside) are richly decorated with symbols of longevity and happiness (crane, bat, peach, pomegranate). Impressive antique figure of the protective deity Rahula (in Tibetan Kyab Jug) of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
