Impressive mandala Gohonzon (ink on paper)with the mantra Nam Myoho Renge Kyo (Nichiren Buddhism). This form of calligraphy was already practiced by Nichiren himself. This one is made by the Nichiren monk Nikko in the 9th. year of the Bunsei period (1826).

A beautiful pair of shell containers (Kaibitsu)with messing fittings, used for the Kaiawase game. The matching of painted shells symbolizes faithfulness in marriage. A shell game set belonged often to the trousseau of a bride. The hampers are in excellent condition and they come with the original wooden boxes. Japan, Edo period. The height of the shell boxes is 43 cm. The diameter is 38,5 cm.

Impressive and beautiful statue of Nikko Bosatsu, the bodhisattva of solar radiance (Suryaprabha). Joint wood block construction (yozegi zukuri)with gold leaf and lacquer. The mandorla inscription says: Bunsei period (Edo), 9th. year, february 9, 1826.
