This bronze Jain figure dates back to the 16/17th. century. Parsvanatha lived in the 8th. century BC and is the twenty-third Jina or Tirthankara. He sits in the padmasana position, protected by a seven-headed naga. His consorts are spiritual guardians or yakshas. The bronze statue shows the characteristic wear. The height is 12.3 cm. The bottom part measures 8 x 5 cm. South India.

Impressive and beautiful statue of Nikko Bosatsu, the bodhisattva of solar radiance (Suryaprabha). Joint wood block construction (yozegi zukuri)with gold leaf and lacquer. The mandorla inscription says: Bunsei period (Edo), 9th. year, february 9, 1826. The bodhisattvas Nikko and Gekko are the attendants of Yakushi Nyorai, the Buddha of healing.
