An ornately worked, chased and engraved jug with dancing Burmese figures in repoussé. The handle in the form of an ogre. The spout might be a later addition, it is only silver plated. A small silver alloy bowl for betel accessories of oblong form, belonging to the larger "Lelancang" offering bowl (item #1310052). The outside is moulded with scrolling flowers and the sides with monster masks. According to Urs Ramseyer in "The Art and Culture of Bali", the large offering bowls "Lelancang" were dignity symbols of the Balinese gentry, filled with betel accessories.
