A tsampa box with slightly domed lid made of turned burl wood, probably rhododendron, decorated with silver sheet mounts, inset with coral and malachite cabochons. Dating to the early 20th century, silver unmarked. Condition: cover: with a short crack, bowl: rim with two small losses and an irregularity in the wood, two small cabochons missing. Dimension: diameter: 17 cm, 10.2 cm high.

A large Japanese sashi netsuke carved from stag antler, depicting the mythical Chinese fisherman Ashinaga with his long legs. The face is carved very expressively and the natural himotoshi (cord hole) is running through his curled hair. Condition: nice patina. Dimension: 17.8 cm long.
