Massively, in two parts, cast bronze Linga and Yoni on a stepped base under a large cobra spreading her hood, the bull Nandi sitting on a protruding section. Karnataka / Maharashtra c. 1900. From a Swiss lady's private collection. Condition: yoni with an old crack and small loss. Dimension: total height: 24.8 cm.

An Arita hexagonal lidded porcelain box on six bun feet, decorated with chrysanthemum and other plants growing amongst rocks, in underglaze blue. Dating to the early Edo period, c. 1690. Please refer for a quite identical box to Barry Davies: "Ko-Imari from the Collection of Oliver Impey", No. 42, pages 86-87. Condition: very good, only one handle restuck and lid with a tiny bubble burst. Dimension: handle to handle: 20 cm, 12 cm high.

Made in the technique known as "ganga-jumna" referring to the two great rivers of North India. From a Swiss lady's private collection. Condition: small quite invisible dents. A circular red lacquer incense box imitating carved lacquer. The lid decorated with a rakan riding on a kylin. Black lacquer to the interior and with an old label: "Laque de Nara / donné par M. Morita". Condition: rims with tiny losses, lid inside with a crack and glue residue, base with some wear. Dimension: diameter: 7.8 cm, 2.4 cm high.

Chinese cloisonne enamel censer standing on three feet, the domed cover is ending in a knob and cast in openwork with clouds that surrounds three large ruyi-head panels. The gilt rim embellished with key pattern in champleve enamel. Decorated with pagodas and a band of ruyi heads in polychrome cloisonne enamel against a turquoise ground. Turquoise contre-email. Condition: wear to gilding, top of knob and internal contre-email with enamel loss. Dimension: 17.2 cm high.

An original Japanese color woodblock print by the artist Utagawa Toyokuni I(1769-1825), in vertical oban size. Depicting two women with a boy drying and beating Cloth on the river banks. Signed "Toyokuni ga", censor "kiwame". Condition: good color and impression, some small wormholes, backed, creased and soiled, laid down at upper corners. Dimension: 36.1 cm x 24.6 cm.

A Mandarin square dating from the late Qing period. A male front insignia with an appliqued wild goose bird, denoting the fourth civil rank. Counting stitch embroidery on gauze in vivid colored silks, the sun disk worked in coral beads and surrounded by metal thread. Brocade bordering and brown silk lining. Condition: minimal wear and few loose threads. Dimension: total: 28.9 cm high x 30.3 cm wide.

Flat plinth on four feet with the figures of Annapurna, Ganesha and Nandi sitting around a Shiva lingam, further the symbols of sun, moon and the five balls (pancapinda). From a Swiss lady's private collection. Condition: base with an old repair, two holes maybe once for additional symbols or figures. Dimension: 10.5 cm long x 8 cm deep x 5.7 cm high.
