A beautiful pair of genuine arm cuff bracelets worn by the women of the Turkmen Tekke tribe. They are made of silver with gilding and set with carnelian cut with flat top. From an old Swiss collection. Cf. Schletzer, Dieter, and Reinhold: Old Silver Jewellery of the Turkoman: An Essay on Symbols in the Culture of Inner Asian Nomads. Berlin: D. Jewelry for the headdress of a Turkmen unmarried woman, made of silver and set with red glass cabochons. Finely potted porcelain saucer with two moulded borders of petals in relief, dating to the late Ming period. The well beautifully painted in underglaze blue with a bird of prey standing on a rock below a pine tree watching a duck. The border with a sparsely celadon tinted glaze. Condition: fine - no cracks and repairs. Only sparse rim frittings, foot rim with few adhering kiln sand. Dimension: 20.2 cm diameter, weight: 280 g.

Finely potted Kraak style petal-molded deep saucer, painted at the center in underglaze blue with a bird standing on a rock among flowers. Dating to the late Ming period. The base with a Chenghua six-character mark in double ring. Condition: minor rim frittings, foot rim with adhering kiln sand. Dimension: 20.2 cm diameter.
