A Persian bird with human face figure, a chimera originating from Greek mythology, standing on a round base. Made of steel with silver wire inlays, the eyes in turquoise glass. Condition: partial little rust. Dimension: 35 cm high x c. 23 cm long.
A paper fan with undecorated bamboo guards and sticks. One side finely painted with figural scenes in ink and color. The silk fan case is embroidered with a Tang poem by Li Bai and the reverse with a landscape in multicolored silks and couched gold thread. Condition: fan: fine, few traces of usage. Fan case: slightly stained and traces of usage, few loose and missing threads. Dimension: fan: length of guards: 31.5 cm, fan opened approx: 51 cm wide. Fan case: 30 cm long x 5.6 cm wide.
Chinese miniature tea set in European shape, comprising two cups and saucers, tea pot, creamer, sugar and tray. Decorated with figures and auspicious symbols in enamels, underglaze blue and gold. Condition: handle of the creamer restored (see Picture 12). Rims with few burst glaze bubbles. Dimension: tray: 14.8 cm x 14.5 cm, height of tea pot: 8 cm.
Chinese export porcelain model of Zhang Guolao, one of the eight Taoist immortals. He is holding a bamboo drum and riding on a mule. Dating to the late Qianlong period. With later wooden stand. Condition: fine, except the inserted ears of the animal are lost. Dimension: 22.5 cm high x 16.2 cm long (without stand).
A front Mandarin square with the mythical beast qilin for a man, denoting the highest military rank from the Kangxi period onwards. Couched embroidery in silver and gold threads on black silk. Blue silk lining. Condition: poor, a lot of missing and loose threads, please look at the photos carefully. Dimension: 28.7 cm x 30.2 cm.
An exceptional Christian stole produced in China for the export. The main fabric is a yellow silk damask with five-clawed dragon roundels, bordered with a woven trim showing crosses. The ends embroidered with the Christogram "IHS" and accentuated with some Peking knot stitches. Orange silk lining and yellow fringes. Dimension: length with fringes: 230 cm, 22 cm wide. Condition: fine, minimal traces of age.
A bronze statue with gilt lacquer remains, standing on a table shaped base and cast in one piece. Showing the worshipping luohan Ananda who was one of the principal disciples of Buddha Shakyamuni. Condition: base with an old breakage, standing a bit slanting. Dimension: 19.8 cm high, weight: 664 g.
Small bronze altar of four-armed Vishnu, cast in three parts. The deity is standing under an arch with a kirthi-mukha at the apex, the base of figure is figure slotting into the base. Condition: good, arch a bit slanting. Dimension: 16.9 cm high x 9.6 cm wide.
