A punch dagger with tapering double edged steel blade, each face decorated with a four-armed deity. Straight handle with double-grip, decorated on the side with flowers. Sheath made of wood with velvet lining. Condition: tip slightly chipped, sheath with losses. Some flash rust. Dimension: 44.6 cm long, 7.4 cm wide.

A front and back Mandarin square dating from the second half of the 19th century. A pair of insignias of a court official's wife, each showing a paradise flycatcher, denoting the ninth civil rank. Made of silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic thread and painted details. The background was probably covered by peacock feathers, rarely survived to the present days. Three carved bamboo page turners. The first one with an eagle on a pine tree watching a small bird, and a small round inlay in aogai. The second one decorated with a Daimyo. The third one with a farmer harvesting a double gourd, with inscription. The two large page turner with beautiful patina. Condition: good, the first one with old ink stains and few rim chips. The shovel with maker's mark "TC" standing for Tuck Chang who was active between the late 19th century and early 20th century in Shanghai and Chinese character marks.
