An export goose feather fan tipped with marabou, the sticks and guards are made of undecorated ivory. Both sides painted with typical Canton School bird, flower and butterfly scenes in color, silver and gold. One side bordered by auspicious symbols. Condition: missing marabou feathers, edges with few losses, painting with few wear, few stains. Dimension: length of guards: 24 cm, fan opened approx: 45 cm wide. A manju netsuke consisting of two ivory discs, of easily different size. Inlaid with mother-of-pearl, metal and another organic material. One signed on a mother-of-pearl tablet "Shibayama saku", the other one with sparrow design "Shibayama Yasunobu", an artist active 1850-1880 in Edo. Condition: the two discs with traces of former cohering, the rim of the larger disc with few really tiny chips. Dimension: diameter: 4.9 cm and 5.1 cm, 2 cm thick.
