This dress is composed of antique Chinese silks, mainly of a dark blue brocade with design of scattered peonies. A large Susani needlework composed of three length of mustard yellow cotton hand embroidered in polychrome silks. This kind of Susanis where used as bed sheet for the wedding night. The sides of the mehrab with flowering pomegranates ending in a large floral roundel. Trimmed with a woven band. Ikat and red cotton lining with „mir-i-boteh“ pattern. A Mandarin square dating from the late 19th century. Female back buzi with an appliqued silver pheasant bird, denoting the 5th civil rank. Blue silk, silver and gold metallic thread couched on dark silk. Condition: borders of the fabric little worn with traces of former mounting such as glue residue, few loose threads.
