A paper fan with undecorated bamboo guards and sticks. One side finely painted with figural scenes in ink and color. The silk fan case is embroidered with a Tang poem by Li Bai and the reverse with a landscape in multicolored silks and couched gold thread. Condition: fan: fine, few traces of usage. Fan case: slightly stained and traces of usage, few loose and missing threads. Dimension: fan: length of guards: 31.5 cm, fan opened approx: 51 cm wide. Fan case: 30 cm long x 5.6 cm wide.
Chinese miniature tea set in European shape, comprising two cups and saucers, tea pot, creamer, sugar and tray. Decorated with figures and auspicious symbols in enamels, underglaze blue and gold. Condition: handle of the creamer restored (see Picture 12). Rims with few burst glaze bubbles. Dimension: tray: 14.8 cm x 14.5 cm, height of tea pot: 8 cm.
Chinese export porcelain model of Zhang Guolao, one of the eight Taoist immortals. He is holding a bamboo drum and riding on a mule. Dating to the late Qianlong period. With later wooden stand. Condition: fine, except the inserted ears of the animal are lost. Dimension: 22.5 cm high x 16.2 cm long (without stand).
An exceptional Christian stole produced in China for the export. The main fabric is a yellow silk damask with five-clawed dragon roundels, bordered with a woven trim showing crosses. The ends embroidered with the Christogram "IHS" and accentuated with some Peking knot stitches. Orange silk lining and yellow fringes. Dimension: length with fringes: 230 cm, 22 cm wide. Condition: fine, minimal traces of age.
A bronze statue with gilt lacquer remains, standing on a table shaped base and cast in one piece. Showing the worshipping luohan Ananda who was one of the principal disciples of Buddha Shakyamuni. Condition: base with an old breakage, standing a bit slanting. Dimension: 19.8 cm high, weight: 664 g.
Two slightly molded porcelain cups and saucers with floral decoration painted in underglaze blue. Made in the Kangxi or Yongzheng period for the export. All bases with blossom mark within a double circle. Condition: fine. Dimension: diameter saucers: c. 13 cm, cups: c. 8.2 cm.
Hardwood Christian cross inlaid with lotus, vines and a small cross in finely engraved, iridescent mother of pearl. Condition: good, few inlays lost, some small losses. Dimension: 49.4 cm x 26 cm x 1.9 cm.
A Chinese silver dish with bamboo design wit inserted Yuan Shikai silver yuan coin, dated to the 9th year of the Republic of China. No silver marks. Condition: some traces of usage. Dimension: coin: diameter 3.9 cm, dish: 8.9 cm.
Chinese silver back of a mirror or a brush decorated with a dragon chasing the flaming pearl. With maker's mark "WS" and Chinese character marks. The silversmith Wo Shing was active in Canton and Shanghai circa 1830-1875. Condition: few traces of usage. Dimension: 13.6 cm x 8.5 cm x 1.1 cm, weight: 110 g.
