Sold. 

An original painting by the Vietnamese painter Pham Thuc Chuong (1918 - 1983), illustrating a young girl in the wind. Painted in watercolor and ink on paper mounted on cardboard. Chuong exhibited 1958 in the Salon d'Art Wolfsberg in Zurich and 1965 at th Galerie A. Weil in Paris. Signed and sealed. Condition: partial some stockflecks. Dimension: 32.2 cm x 26.2 cm.

An original Japanese woodblock print by the Shin Hanga artist Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950). In horizontal oban size depicting men sitting in a cave. Stamped "Komagatake iwa koya", "Nihon Minami Arupusu sh", date Showa 3 (1928), artist's seal and signature and jizuri (self-printed). Snuff bottle of rounded form made of pale agate with some darker inclusions, standing on a flat foot. The stopper is a metal mounted coral bead, short bone spoon. Condition: fine, mouth rim with a tiny rim frit, spoon broken. Dimension: total height: 6.6 cm.

An antique kidney-shaped midnight blue satin silk pouch finely embroidered on both sides with auspicious Chinese characters, couched in gold and silver wrapped threads. Bright yellow lining, orange tapes with moulded beads decorated with bats. Condition: fine, little traces of usage and wear. Dimension: purse: 11.2 cm x 12.1 cm.

Beautiful set of six porcelain dinner plates for the Straits Chinese market, enamelled with the phoenix and peony motif. With gilded scalloped edges and stamped shop mark "Wang Shen Shu" to the base, dating around 1900. Condition: enamels and rim gilding with little wear. Dimension: diameter: 19.2 cm.

An extraordinary, wooden figure of a tiger with a very long tail, sitting on a rockwork. It has an almost humanized facial expression and the mouth corners are showing small canines. It is painted with green and different brown pigments. Dating to the Joseon dynasty. Condition: partially lost or agglomerated coloring, some pigment fissures, few small cracks, one fang is worn. Dimension: total height: 35 cm x c. 15 cm x 17 cm.

A dark blue satin woman's garment, dating to the late Qing dynasty, with center opening fastened with a gilt metal ball button and two ribbons. The four lobed collar, terminating in ruyi heads, and all wide hems extravagantly embroidered with romance figures in Peking stitch and little gold thread couching. Trimmed with different woven borders, the straight sleeves with embroidered outer cuff bands. Later figured blue silk lining. Condition: very good, only partial little staining. An original Japanese woodblock print by the Shin Hanga artist Ohara Koson (1877 - 1945). In shikishiban size depicting a Japanese macaque crouching upon the branch of a willow tree. Signed and sealed "Koson". Published by Daikokuya, this print was purchased 1920 by the former owner in Japan. Reverse with stamp "MADE IN JAPAN". Small Indian deity made in ganga-jumna technique (flesh areas and stand in copper but the jewellery and ball in lighter brass) depicting the dancing Krishna holding in one hand a butter ball. Figure and stand space is cast in one piece, the plinth is made separately. Condition: patina, traces of usage, plinth little bent and holey, maybe an addition. Dimension: 11.7 cm high.

Sold. 

Small ewer worked in silver alloy and metal. The pear shaped body on a splayed lotus foot. The spout emerging from a Makara and the handle with a dragon head. Decorated in repousse and chasing with two cartouches, one with the "four harmonious brothers" and the other with a Lama among animals. The domed cover attached to the body with a chain.
