A Chinese filigree silver pendant served as a pomander for enclosing scented blossoms. Base with two Chinese character marks. Condition: slightly dented. Dimension: bottle: 5.2 cm high x 4.8 cm wide, weight: 18 g.

Sold. 

A porcelain hat stand painted in the Qianjiang palette with a young lady contemplating a flower twig at the window. Inscribed with calligraphy in black, dated "ji hai" corresponding to 1899 and signed "Gao Xintian". Base with stamped iron red mark "Guangxu". Condition: no repairs and cracks - little wear to painting and gilt rim. Dimension: 27.8 cm high, diameter: 11.6 cm.

A large self-carved and printed color woodblock print by the Japanese Sosaku Hanga artist Kiyoshi Saito (1907-1997). Titled "Maiko Kyoto(A)", dated "1959" and numbered "94/100" in pencil. Hand signed in white ink and with red seal. Reverse with paper slip "self-carved and self printed Kiyoshi Saito". Condition: good impression and color, little paper toning and stockflecks. Dimension: image: 52.5 cm x 38.3 cm, paper: 60.2 cm x 45.5 cm.

A small fan painting by an anonymous painter of the Tosa School in ink, colors and gold on paper. Mounted on goldfleck paper. Depicting a battle scene of the "Tale of the Heike", an epic account of the struggle between the Taira and Minamoto clans for control of Japan at the end of the 12th century. This fan painting probably belongs to the same set of illustrations of the "Heike Monogatari" in the Museum of Asian Art in Berlin. Tibetan butterfly-shaped woolen under-saddle rug "Makden", made in two pieces in knotted pile. Backed with purple cotton, edged with red wool fabric and having two not pierced strap holes. Decorated with peony flowers and waves. Condition: clean, full pile only few areas with little wear, backing with a small hole. Dimension: 112 cm x 72 cm.

Finely potted Kraak style petal-molded deep plate, dating to the late Ming period. The well with a fish swimming amongst seaweed painted in dark underglaze blue in Yuan style. Base with blue double ring. This pattern was popular in Japan for kaiseki, the tea ceremony meal. Sold. 

A lobed Longquan ceramic dish with pale olive toned glaze, dating to the Ming dynasty. The center of the well impressed with a peony spray medallion, the sides carved with a floral meander. The base partially glazed. A quite identical dish was sold on 15th Sept 2010 by Sotheby's in New York. Condition: rim with two cracks (photos no. 3 & 8, from front and reverse). Dimension: diameter: 25.5 cm, 5 cm high.

Sold. 

A pear-shaped "Famille rose" porcelain teapot and cover with molded decoration of two rows of petals and applied lotus flowers and leaves, in between painted with cockerels, deers, fishes and egrets. Dating to the Yongzheng or early Qianlong period. Condition: good, some chips to the applied decoration (please look at the last four photos) spout with a tiny chip. Dimension: 10.7 cm high, spout to handle: c. 14.6 cm.
