Two Chinese blue and white reticulated "linglong" tea bowls, from the Hatcher shipwreck, dating from circa 1643. Each painted with five roundels enclosing different landscapes in underglaze blue, flanked by pierced cash motif walls. Standing on a short footrim, the base is unglazed and with a red "Hatcher Collection" label. Condition: fine, one bowl with a minimal tiny rim chip. Dimension: diameter: 9.1 cm, 4.9 cm and 5.1 cm high.

A fritware tile of octagonal form, painted underglaze in blue, green, yellow, red-brown and black, depicting a young man in Safavid court dress and turban holding some flowers. With metal suspension bracket. Provenance: from an old Swiss collection. Condition: restored, tile was broken in several parts. Dimension: 17.3 cm x 16.5 x 2 cm, weight: 702 g.

Lady's red silk satin garment with front overlap closing to the right, fastened with four knot and loop toggle buttons, slit sides. Embroidered with multicolored scattered scheme of butterflies, double gourds and flowers. Four lobed collar terminating in ruyi heads. All borders extravagantly embroidered with romance figures in a landscape setting, with gold thread couching and Peking knot. Green silk lining...

Attractive Kashmir tea service with handles made in the shape of a serpent. Consisting of a sugar bowl, cream jug and teapot with hinged lid. The metal base, here copper or bronze, was first engraved with special tools to create the design in relief, the grooves were later filled with glass and then embellished with additional engraving and shiny gilding. A small Buddhist statue with serene expression, wearing Bodhisattva garments. Seated in dhyanasana, holding the hands in dhyanamudra. Made of hardwood with gilt lacquering and lapis lazuli powder in the curled hair. Condition: tip of the nose lost, some wear and traces of age. Dimension: 18.8 cm tall, weight: 565 g.

A brass bowl of rounded form with engraved decoration and beautiful patina. Between two bands of interlace decorated with quatrefoils, arabesques and calligraphic inscriptions. Base with islamic numerals. Condition: some wear, little dents, a small crack. Dimension: diameter: 24 cm, 12.2 cm high, weight: 1145 g.

Made of iron, silver and gold. The center is showing the Nanzen-ji complex, a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto. Bordered by two beautifully elaborated dragons. The back with engraved ho-o birds and a long inscription, dated to the Taisho period (1917) and maker's seal. Condition: little wear, rim with one tiny blossom centre absent. A mother-of-pearl and bone inlaid wood crucifix, fixed on a pyramidal base and with affixed cylinders. Decorated with symbols of the Franciscan order, geometric and floral patterns. The origin (and age)of these crosses is still not evident, they are attributed to the Near East, specifically the Jerusalem area or the Indian Subcontinent, Gujarat. Condition: few missing inlays, few cracks, reverse with oldly filled cracks, top of base with apparently missing inlays...

An Indian Kalamkari mat, probably from Coromandel coast, made of slightly padded and quilted chintz. The cotton ground is block-printed and painted with a central medallion surrounded by meandering exotic flowers and crenelation. Lined with printed cotton, indigo dyed fabric edging. Condition: clean, few very small old mends, little small age stains. Dimension: 121 cm x 83 cm.

A splendid Chinese export silver circular egg cruet fitted with four egg cups and four spoons each decorated with bamboo. The cruet standing on 3 ball feet, the cups and spoons with gilt bowls. The cruet and cups with maker's mark "TC" standing for Tuck Chang who was active between the late 19th century and early 20th century in Shanghai. Condition: few traces of usage, few wear to gilding. Dimension: total height: 19 cm, cups: 7.4 cm high, spoons: 10 cm long, total weight: 386 g.

A front Mandarin square dating from the second half of the 19th century. An insignia for an imperial censor, showing the white mythical beast "xiezahi" or "xiezhi" with its dragon head and single horn. Standing on a rock above deep water, the ground with auspicious emblems. Made of silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic threads and painted details. The background was probably covered by peacock feathers, rarely survived to the present days. Sewn together and lined with blue silk...

A blue silk twill gauze men's jifu decorated in gold couched thread with eight four-clawed mang dragons pursuing flaming pearls amidst clouds and bats. Few details executed in colored silk, silver brocade edging. The bottom is embroidered with waves, stylized rocks and the "lishui" pattern. Side-fastening overlapping closure with hooks and five gilt buttons, front and back slit, the sleeves ending in horsehoof cuffs. Only the ends of the sleeves with blue silk lining...

Antique Tibetan gilt iron fittings with open-work decoration. Three buckles and four hooks in the shape of a vajra. Condition: some rust. Dimension: approx. 11.2 cm and 8.8 cm long, weight: 260 g.

An antique Tibetan buckle made of chiseled iron and damascened in gold, originating from a bridle or a belt. The fitting with hook is beautifully decorated with a lotus among scrollwork and a wave pattern (chu ris). Condition: little rust, few traces of usage. Dimension: 10 cm and 5 cm long, 76 g.
