Eleven lithographic prints and the cover sheet designed by the Sosaku hanga artist Shiko Munakata (1903 - 1975) for the Yaskawa Electric Co. Number 7 (July) is missing. The lithographs are mounted on both upper corners on the calendar sheet. Size of the calendar sheets: 51.5 x 36.4 cm.
Well hollowed and nicely carved jadeite vessel with lid. The bright green stone with darker green inclusions and few brownish veins. The lion head handles with movable rings. With wooden stand. Condition: one ring was broken in two, now mended. Dimension: 9.2 cm high without stand. 8.5 cm wide, weight: 238 g.
An original color woodblock print in oversize by the Japanese Modern Print artist Fumio Kitaoka (1918 - 2007). Showing the coast of Shimamaki. Hand-signed, titled, dated '73 and edition no. 87/100 in pencil. Condition: very good impression and color, very faint discoloration on the margins from prior matting, right margin slightly rubbed off, mounted on paper. Dimension: image: 40 cm x 55 cm, paper: 48 cm x 64 cm.
A color woodblock print by Kaoru Kawano (1916 - 1965). Depicting a little girl with butterflies around her head, holding white flowers. With red seal and black seal on the verso. An original Japanese color woodblock print in the large oban size by the Shin Hanga artist Kawase Hasui (1883 - 1957). Rare prewar print of the second limited edition, published by Sakai-Kawaguchi. Signed and sealed, lower margin with title "Lake Chuzenji, Nikko" and dated 1930. An original painting on shikishi paper by Suda Kyochu (1908 - 1964), depicting a frog in a pond. Painted in ink and with natural pigments. Suda Kyochu was a pupil of Seison Maeda (1885 - 1977), one of the greatest contemporary Japanese painters and one of the founders of the Nihonga movement. Signed and with original folder. Condition: fine. Dimension: 17 cm x 24.2 cm.
Chinese export silver serving dish standing on three semicircular feet. Beautiful decoration of bamboo in repousse work and engraving. Bottom with maker's mark "Zeesung" who was active in the first half of the 20th century in Shanghai, silver and a Chinese character mark. Condition: few traces of usage.
