A rare Kashmir teapot with hinged lid standing on three small feet. The metal base, here copper or bronze, was first engraved with special tools to create the design in relief, the grooves were later filled with glass and then embellished with additional engraving and shiny gilding. This technique is called in India "meena" or "meenakari" and was first applied by the Mughal. With a small handwritten note explaining its provenance. A blue and white deep porcelain dish with spirally moulded sides. Painted in underglaze blue with swirling stems of feathery flowers, repeated on the reverse. The base with a symbol mark in a double circle, Kangxi period (1662 - 1722). The open-work silver handle was added in the 19th century in the Netherlands. Silver cocktail shaker with strainer and detachable cap. Embossed decoration of a dragon and a round cartouche with monogram on a shagreen simulating ground. Base marked "Nanking", mark of the Nanking Silver Store in Shanghai. Condition: the cap with one, the foot and beaker's rim with small dents. A high quality cloisonne vase dating from the Meiji period. The shoulder decorated with flowers on a black spiral ground, below a design of butterflies and flowers on a brown speckled ground. Then followed by foliate panels containing a ho-o bird or a dragon. Bottom, rim and wires are gilt. With wood stand. Condition: fine. Dimension: 12.1 cm high.
