Portion of a Domestic Ottoman Embroidery, 19th C.

The basic fabric is a plain linen or cotton weave. The ends embroidered in polychrome silk yarn and few metal threads. A repeated pattern of flower sprays. The decoration is identical on both surfaces. Condition:é Stained, reduced, wear, weave partially discolored. Dimension: Approx. 181 cm x 19 cm.
