Green-glazed cowroid bead with spiral design

Ancient Egyptian stone vessel with relief of the goddess Hathor. Eroded chip on one side, with a hairline. Dates to the New Kingdom period, Nubian; many of the collectors pieces were from this region. Has a Cartouche on the back however the hieroglyphs don’t translate.The inscription is most certainly a forgery, scratched into the surface in modern times by someone who did not really understand the language. The glyphs do not mean anything as written...

ANCIENT EGYPTIAN DIORITE JAR

EARLY DYNASTIC PERIOD, DYNASTY II-III 2770-2575 BC.

Here you find a squat conical jar with a slightly flattened base, the disk rim undercut on the exterior, with two false lug handles on the shoulders. Had a fracture however professionally repaired and only visible to the naked eye from the inside. Measures 6 1/8 inches wide (15.6cm).

ANCIENT EGYPTIAN LIMESTONE RELIEF

CIRCA LATE PERIOD

Here you find a beautiful limestone relief from the collection of Gustave Jéquier. This lovely limestone relief shows the head of Ibis headed Thoth wearing the lunar crescent on his head. On his left we see Ptah or scribe wearing a skull cap with ureaus. Over the head of Ptah/scribe we see what appears to be a large moon. This pieces measures approx 9.25" inches x 8.75" inches and was split in few sections, however now mended...

Here you find an Ancient Egypt stone alabastron in a teardrop shape, two delicate lug handles still present. However the rim is partially damaged. Dates from the Early Dynastic period and in good condition with mineral deposits both on the inside and outside. Nice colour showing, however not as brilliant as the other examples from this collection. Measures 5.2cm in height.

Ancient Egypt alabastron made certainly by a master craftsman. With its perfect teardrop shape, two delicate lug handles, and partially flared rim, this alabastron demonstrates Egyptian mastery of shaping stone! From the Early Dynastic period and in excellent condition save for the damage to the rim. Wonderful colour showing on this piece. Measures 5.8cm in height.

Another lovely piece of well provenanced ancient Egyptian art! This small alabaster sacrificial vase provides a shallow bowl shape with a flat rim and four lugs to use as handles. Circa Early Dynastic Period. Measures 7.7 cm in diameter and is intact!
