Here you find a very large faience papyrus shaped pillar or sceptre which signified stability and endurance. Dates to the Late Period, 664 - 343 BC. It is in a light blue faience and in perfect condition! This amulet of a papyrus scepter also measures 1.75 inches in length.

Circular bead with carved flower and scroll pattern

Measurement: 1.1 cm x 1.15 x .5 cm

Material/colour: stone (steatite?) now cream, but blackened back suggests an original glaze, perhaps dark green.

Technique: stone carving with ceramic glaze; pierced for suspension.

Condition: Back is worn and slightly gritty; carved surface is well preserved; line encircling pattern somewhat worn and eccentric...

Beautiful blue/green Ancient Egyptian faience Isis Lactans statue. She is offering her breast in order to nurse her son Horus, wearing a sharp detailed tripartite wig coloured in black faience. From the Third Intermediate Period circa 1000 B.C.

Measures 1 1/4 inches high.

Lovely coloured faience amulet of the god Shu. The actual word “Shu” means being dry, withered or parched and was associated with the hot sunlight and the dry air. He is often shown wearing a feather and holding the sun as in this fine example. He was considered the god of the space and light between the earth and the sky and was also believed to hold power over serpents. An ancient Egyptian miniature faience amulet of a squatting baboon. The god Thoth was particularly associated with scribes. Dates to circa the New Kingdom, Ca. 1550-1070 BC. Top of head missing however much nicer than the picture captures. Measures 25 mm.

Here you find a beautiful green Djed pillar amulet from circa the Late Period 688–332 B.C. This symbol of Osiris god of the underworld was a potent symbol of regeneration and was made to accompany the dead on to its journey. What the form represents is unknown to this day. It could represent a leafless tree, a pole a spine. Eventually the common belief was that it represented the backbone or spine of the god Osiris. The Wedjet; also known as the eye of Horus is a very powerful symbol in Ancient Egypt. It represents the "eye" of the Falcon (Horus) who represents the Sun. This wedjat most likely served as a talisman for protection which could also bring strength and prosperity. Most likely used in the funerary process and often placed on the deceased. From circa the Late Period and measures 3/4" length.Looks much better than the photo would indicate...
