A lovely ancient Greek globular pyxis with dark bands surrounding the body and lid. A dot motif, in which could possibly represent a floral decoration surrounds the body. Misfiring has caused a portion of the vase to turn reddish orange. Intact with good mineral deposits and root markings inside. Circa 550-525 B.C. Measures 3.5 inches high.

A very elegant ancient kantharos of Boeotian origin which dates to circa 450 BC. This clay Greek kantharos sits on low ring foot, its underside reserved. This pottery has a steep wall construction, offset to the foot. Both handles drawn up above the rim and stretch wide. Here you find a lovely ancient Attic red-figure pottery askos of the Kerch group of vases. Dates to approx 340-330 BC. Has a swan on one side of the body and a griffin on the other, both of which are symbolic in Greek mythology. High arching handles with a wide spout. Some surface rubbing on glaze and hairline underneath and on the bridge of the handle. Measures 12.3 cm in length.

Lovely ancient impasto ware Etruscan Kantharoid vase with twin handles and fluted body. Three clustered bronze appliqués are impressed on both sides of the body just above the protruding rotellae. Bronze appliqués are also present on top of the knobbed portion of the handles. A roulette meander surrounds the vessel with incised detailed. Dates to circa the 7th century BC and measures 5.25 inches in width. Vessel has some eroded areas as seen in photo, however very stable.

Large Daunian Funnel Krater which was excavated from a necropolis near Ordona, Italy by Byron Farwell in 1944-1945. This artifact has deep thick brownish bands on the body and rim with intermittent thin vertical bands. Very characteristic of Daunian ware of the 5th century which maintains its Bronze age roots.
