This is an extremely rare piece of Etruscan pottery. Measuring 9 inches tall with a rich black patina. Tendrils painted in orange around the body, shoulder and spout area. In absolutely perfect condition said for some encrustation on the surface of the vessel and some misfiring at the base. This ancient ceramic dates to approximately 600 B.C. and is from the ancient Etruscan city of Veio.

A lovely Inca double-chambered bridge vessel from Peru, ca. 1300 – 1500 AD. It is 8” long, 6-3/4” high and has an adorable bird adorned, perched atop one spout. Painted overall in orange and white, with nice lattice work on the bridge and clear tone on the built-in whistle.

Beautiful blue/green Ancient Egyptian faience Isis Lactans statue. She is offering her breast in order to nurse her son Horus, wearing a sharp detailed tripartite wig coloured in black faience. From the Third Intermediate Period circa 1000 B.C.

Measures 1 1/4 inches high.

In very good condition, and a much better piece than the picture captivates.

We are very pleased to present this fine, terracotta, stirrup-spouted vessel in the form of a Mochica Traveler from Moche IV, circa 400 to 500 A.D. This terracotta man is wearing a large bound turban on his head. His clothing is decorated with crosses, the symbol for the San Pedro cactus. He is holding 'corn popper" and a blanket roll in his right hand and a decorated stirrup vessel in his left. Large tapered spout between shoulders...

Exquisite and large terrracotta doll figure from the Nazca culture of southern Peru, dating between 200- 400 A.D., This ancient ceramic figure has his flesh done in a tan colour, nails, eyes, and hair in black. The lips, and portion of the geometric design on his torso done in red. Two peg holes (one on each side) are also found on the doll. What sets this example aside is the size; measures 10 ½ inches high! It is intact save for some surface ware in the area of the toes...

Here you find a lovely terracotta stirrup-spouted vessel depicting a Moche “dwarf”. It has bold facial features, tightly closed lips and nicely shaped lidded eyes. Well marked tattoos found on the cheeks, lip and chin area. The terracotta is done in a rich red-brown paint base with cream colour on the eyes and portion of the base. Dates to approx 400-700 AD and measures 9 ½ inches high...

Here you find a wonderfully preserved Llama effigy from Peru. Dates from circa 450 to 550 AD. This stirrup vessel has a deeply burnished brown red colour with beautiful patina. The saddlebag and facial features highlighted in white paint. Very vivid features are found on this invaluable animal from the Andes. Measures in at 9 ½ inches wide by 7 ¾ inches high (larger than the average piece).

An exceptional piece of Ancient South Italian pottery. This vessel is referred to as a Thistle Mug or Thistle Cup. It sits on a high foot with a bulbous base and a beautiful flaring rim. Attached to the rim is an intact double shaped handled. Around the rim we find a band of flowers and just below the egg and dot motif. The typical Lady of Fashion adorns this vessel. As per Prof. Trendall, 1 in 3 Apulian vases were decorated with this mysterious figure...

Ancient Apulian small red-figured kothon with a double handle in the form of a Herculean Knot. Ovoid body and a thin overhanging lip with tongue pattern in black on top and bottom of lip. Just below we find an egg and dot pattern. The body is decorated with the Lady of Fashion wearing a radiate stephane, ribbon sakkos, necklace and earrings.
