A lovely ancient Greek globular pyxis with dark bands surrounding the body and lid. A dot motif, in which could possibly represent a floral decoration surrounds the body. Misfiring has caused a portion of the vase to turn reddish orange. Intact with good mineral deposits and root markings inside. Circa 550-525 B.C.
