Ancient Egyptian Alabaster Egg circa 18th Dynasty
We are pleased to offer this very interesting ancient alabaster egg from Egypt. This egg was most likely part of a larger vessel or offering piece. Intact and measure 5.3 cm in length with some deposits and pitting of surface.

Provenance: D.K. Berlin, 1970

From the tomb of Tutankhamun "the lid of the alabaster jar decorated with a small bowl showing a bird in its nest having just emerged from its egg.
