Here you find an extremely fine ancient Apulian salt cellar from ca. 350 B.C.
The metallic surface of this vessel makes for an extraordinary example of fine Greek black-glazed pottery. This small gem likely served as a votive and perhaps also for daily use. This antiquity is intact and wonderfully preserved with a nice ribbed pattern around the body. Has a small floral/palm stamped on the inner bowl and an attic style ring pattern painted on the base. Root markings on the surface. Diameter: 2.8 inches
