Extremely rare ancient Roman glass baby feeder. Dates to approx. the 1st century AD and from the Eastern Mediterranean. It is small with clear glass with a form closer to an askos in form. This ancient baby feeder has a rather slender body with rolled rim. The slender neck attached for controlled administration of fluids to child. Nice light iridescence and intact! Measures 2.5 inches x 3 inches. Provenance: From the collection of Alex G. Malloy, former dealer in antiquities for 40 years. |
