Here you find a beautiful ancient calcite hand. Has three holes for pegs (similar to wooden hands affixed to coffins). This would be a man's hand with very good detail on all five fingers. Small chip on tip of thumb. Has some glue on the back as was on a modern mount. Dates to the 1st to 4th century AD. Measure 4.25 inches in lenght. Provenance: Gustave Jequier (1868-1946) Ex.
