Orig. 1960's Am Indian Paintings Drawings by H. CABOT
The two charcoal or painted (hard to tell) drawings are original and acquired in the 1960's in Taos, New Mexico from the artist. They are originals and measure approx. NOT including the frames 12" x 16" and in very good condition. The pictures are drawn on brown paper with black and white charcoal coloring. About the artist: Hugh CABOT (1930) Biography Birth place: Boston, MA Addresses: Nogales, AZ Profession: Painter, sculptor, illustrator, writer Studied: Vesper George School Fine Arts, Boston; BMFASch.; College of the Americas, Mexico City; Oxford Univ. Exhibited: Tokyo Press Club; USN Korean Combat Art Coverage; Mitsubishi Gallery, Tokyo; Operation Palette, USN Show, exhibited in every major city in the free world. Work: USN Dept. History & Records; Combat Art Collection, USN Mus. Combat Art. Comments: Cabot was the official Navy combat artist during the Korean War. Preferred media: oils, charcoal, ink.
