Set with rhinestones in the red, white and blue hues of Old Glory, these historic earrings are extremely well-made with beautiful silverwork and prong-set stones. They're in fabulous condition and huge, too: 2 1/4" tall and almost 2" wide. The screw-on backs are original, right for the Retro period, as is the sleek and curvy Moderne styling. Earrings don't get any more 1940s than these - and did you know manufacturers were forced by wartime shortages of other metals to use high-quality silver, even for costume jewels? That's why so many pieces from this era are sterling, and each of these earrings is marked such. I'm surprised to find no other marks, since these are *so* good.
There's no charge for insured U.S. shipping and gift wrap is also free if desired. Please e-mail to confirm availability, order or request more photos. Thanks for looking! P.S. - Display case shown here isn't included, because the earrings are so big it can't close over them. |
