This exquisite hand-made antique pin measures a whopping 2" in each dimension, almost round. Its highly dimensional repousse work shows real artistry and abundant detail, not only of the swan but of surrounding waves, reeds and flowers. Hallmarked sterling and in excellent condition, it likely dates from 1885-1895. The original old hinged pinstem was no doubt shortened for safety when the present safety clasp was added.
