Here's a head-turning necklace for you! Whenever I wear it, compliments flow and everyone mistakes it for genuine amber.
Adding to the look of sheer opulence, 9 very ornate spacer beads feature among the rugged faux-amber slices. The beads certainly contain some silver, since they tarnish. I believe this jewel is of Middle Eastern origin, dating from the early part of the 20th century. The chain is like nothing I've ever seen before, sort of in the "paperclip" style but not quite.
