Our second string bag from the Roaring 20s - worked in a more subtle color scheme of soft purple, fern green and black on taupe - has a pouch big enough to hold a lot. It measures 9" x 6 1/2", and the strap is about 39" long. On close inspection, the strap could use a few stitches for reinforcement; there's one frayed spot at the top, easily repaired. The purse has no further problems I notice and, like our other string bag from the same Dallas area estate, shows its original colors because of being carefully stored away for decades.
